What does Design Council do?
Design Council’s purpose is to make life better by design. We work from grassroots to Government, delivering programmes, producing world-class research and influencing policy. Uniquely, our programmes cover the built environment, public sector design and social innovation, and business innovation.
Who funds the Design Council?
Funding. We are an independent charity and the government’s advisor on design. Our income is derived from a combination of grants, partnerships and commissioned, paid-for services. A key element of our activities is a grant programme we deliver for the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS).
