Kick off your orientation week with our official university welcome days on Wednesday 23rd February on each campus. For the remainder of that week and the week after we’ll have a whole heap of fun and exciting orientation events to get you ready for student life.

Do you have to go to O Week?
Do I have to attend O-Week? Orientation is an important step of starting university so attendance is considered essential. Some sessions during orientation are considered compulsory while others are recommended or simply great ways to get to know other students.
What should I bring to university orientation?
You’ll need your Student ID to access campus buildings. A copy of the Orientation schedule. A list of places you’d like to explore during your visit and a smart device or pen and journal for note-taking. Orientation can involve a lot of walking, so wear comfortable shoes.

- Be open to making new friends. One of the best things about O-Week is the opportunity to meet other people who are going through the same experience as you and may be feeling just as out of their comfort zone.

- Do your research.
- Let your parents fuss over you.
Do I need a backpack for orientation?
Carry a large purse or backpack, so you won’t have to carry around all your new school stuff in your hands. You are provided food during your orientation, so don’t start freaking out about packing snacks! Throughout the day there will be allotted time for lunch and snacks.
Do you bring your backpack to orientation?
It’s a good idea to bring a backpack to orientation because it is likely that you will be bringing home plenty of books and papers. If your high school provided you with a list of things that you’ll need for orientation, review the list and make sure that everything is in your backpack and ready to go.
