Is Ironman Texas wetsuit legal?

So bring the wetsuit, bring the speed suit, and bring a healthy amount of patience to deal with the people who incessantly check water temperature every 15 minutes.

Is Ironman happening in 2021?
According to Ironman: “After consultation with City of Lapu Lapu in light of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and resulting guidelines and precautions, we regret to inform you that the event cannot take place in 2021 and will now return on August 7, 2022.”
Can you get a refund for Ironman?
Ironman officials confirmed that the current policy for COVID-related cancelations or postponements does not include refunds to athletes. Ironman officials also confirmed that until an event is officially canceled or postponed, the standard non-COVID cancellation policy is still in place.
How does the Ironman payment plan work?
Athletes will be charged in two installments. To elect the payment plan, an athlete needs to register under the “Payment Plan” category during 2021 and make the initial payment. All two payments must be completed for an athlete to race –partial payments will not be refunded or honoured as race entries.
What is USAT membership?
A USA Triathlon (USAT) card is a membership card designating membership in USA Triathlon. As an added benefit, membership also provides athletes with extra accident insurance during participation in USAT-sanctioned events. A signed waiver is required with USAT membership.
How long do you need to train for an Ironman?
To do an Ironman safely, your body needs three years plus of endurance training, which may include marathons, long-distance cycle sportives and triathlons. This will also see you train through two winters.
What is wetsuit legal for Ironman?
Wetsuits may be worn in water temperature up to and including 24.5°C/76.1°F. Wetsuits are mandatory if the water temperature is below 16°C/60.8°F. Physically Challenged (PC) and Handcycle (HC) athletes may wear a wetsuit during the swim at all Ironman events at any water temperature.
